Take a page from your book.

To take a page from someone’s book means to do the same thing that someone else has done.

Note: It’s also possible to say borrow a page.

Also, take or borrow a leaf.

And from or out of someone’s book.

For example, you may want to take a page from his book and study harder for your finals.

Maybe I should take a leaf out of Rick’s book and start coming early every morning.

Our youngest son was always timid, but now that he’s getting older, he’s begun taking a page out of

our older boy’s book.

Tradução: seguir o exemplo ou imitar o comportamento de alguém.
